AZ GED® DAY is about Collective Impact and Taking Big Bold Actions to help Arizonans of ALL backgrounds.


AZ GED® DAY came about through a partnership led by Chicanos Por La Causa, Inc. (CPLC), Starbucks, Rio Salado, and a host of local partners across Arizona. 


Its purpose is simple, to connect thousands of youth and adults, in cities and towns across the state, to existing GED® programs and services. Through the use of seamless technology integration, GED® Seekers will also be connected to various wrap around social services as needed.


About CPLC

Founded in 1969, Chicanos Por La Causa, Inc. (CPLC) is the largest 501 (c) (3) non-profit Community Development Corporation in Arizona. CPLC is home to 40 program centers and facilities, providing services to more than 260,000 individuals annually in urban and rural areas in 13 of Arizona's 15 counties. CPLC, targets its services primarily to disadvantaged and vulnerable populations including individuals and families with low to moderate incomes. CPLC offers the promise of opportunity through four pillars of service: 1) Housing; 2) Economic Development; 3) Integrated Health; and 4) Education. Programs included in these areas are housing counseling, foreclosure prevention, neighborhood stabilization, community revitalization, emergency shelter, transitional housing, substance abuse treatment, parent education, early childhood development programs, and youth prevention programs.

About Rio Salado College

Rio Salado College serves as the principal provider of GED® test preparation programs for the Maricopa Community Colleges and the largest provider of adult basic education in the state of Arizona, offering in-person services at 6 locations across the Valley.
